I am in Mt Pleasant about 4 times a year visiting family. I will always make it a point to come here and have their wings! crispy skin, juicy meat and the smokey flavor is to die for. They are worthy of a meal by them selves. Their other bbq is really great too. Can't wait to revisit in July!

Fantastic restaurant in the middle of nowhere. If you happen to stumble across Mt Pleasant, TN, well, you may not even notice. However, if you do catch this small town as quickly passes by your window, stop by this place, you won't be disappointed.

Simple but tasteful retro style diner. Brisket sandwich was outstanding as were the fried green tomatoes. The loaded baked potato was a little light on the loaded. Good service and good value. Homemade blueberry ice cream was terrific.

This place is heaven..and if our experience on Saturday night is any indicator, heaven serves the best cheeseburger in existence. Tucked in sleepy Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, The Mt. Pleasant Grille is perfect slice of casual-classy and upscale without the pretentiousness (and the price tag!) of similar restaurants in Franklin and Brentwood. Quietly, powerfully, this place is doing it right, and should be rewarded for it. Heavily. As mentioned above, I had the cheeseburger, and the wifey had the grilled salmon. We both rated our dishes a full 100/100. Every single point of that 100. Not 99. 100. Quite literally the best cheeseburger I have ever had, ever. One more time: Ever. I am sitting here, just stunned... The entrees are full, unique, well-plated and unbelievably tasty, with a home-made vibe to boot. Everything here is excellent, from the fresh bread with seasoned butter at the beginning to the hand made ice cream at the end. No obnoxious TVs blaring in the corner, no cattle-call seating, no panicked wait staff. Live music, not over-amplified.. Great atmosphere, friendly faces. Just perfection. I'm going to cry when I leave in a few minutes--this place is more than a gem, it is an absolute jewel.

Cool diner! We come here for lunch when we are working in the area. The service is always great and everyone is always friendly. We usually start with the fried green tomatoes, as they are delicious and irresistible. I ordered the Monterey BBQ Chicken with seasonal vegetables on my latest visit. It was great and probably my new favorite dish here. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. Everything I've had here has been fantastic. If you are in Mount Pleasant you should really give this place a try. I haven't been to dinner here yet but it is definitely on my to do list.

What happened? We used to come here all the time for the three homemade breads w whipped butter. Homemade dressings, etc. Now all replaced w cheaper more commercial food. Hoping you'll return to Southern Traditions again soon.

Great food and cool diner. Worth a trip from Nashville to try this place. Mt. Pleasant is in the middle of nowhere and the MPG is an oasis in the desert.

We stopped here for lunch on a trip to North Alabama after landing in Nashville. We started with fried green tomatoes and fried pimento and cheese balls. The tomatoes were OK but we agreed that we would have skipped them but we liked the pimento and cheese. For lunch we had a chicken sandwich with onion rings and fried catfish with collard greens and mashed potatoes. The sandwich, catfish, mashed potatoes and collards were all good. The collards were especially good. We agreed they were some of the best we have had. We disagreed about the onion rings. Chris liked them but I thought they tasted funny. Overall it was a good lunch. Give it a try!

Online says they open for brunch @ 9:30am, we were there at 9:32. Sign on the door says 10:30:(. Only eaten there once..was not impressed. Had to eat off of a buffet, because they wouldn't take orders off the menu??

My husband surprised me by taking here for a Valentine's Dinner. We've eaten here several times before and love the food and the atmosphere. The Special Valentine's Meal was delicious. The crab cakes were great, the salad was dark green and fresh. The hot bread & homemade butter was great. I had halibut w/mashed potatoes, perfect, not dry. For dessert, my husband & I shared the creme brûlée & the homemade strawberry ice-cream cake . Okay. I am a dessert expert. The creme brûlée was bland and the homemade strawberry ice-cream cake was strawberry ice-creme in a store bought chocolate graham cracker shell. I was very disappointed with the dessert! Overall I would rate my dinner a "9" , and the dessert a "5". Our waitress was great! I would recommend Mt. Pleasant Grille, however everything else is home-made, the desserts need more work. This is a quality restaurant in a quiet little town. The owner has done a good job preparing an excellent menu in a clean and comfortable setting.

Great restaurant! I didn't think anyone that moved into what used to be Lumpy's would live up to the standard, but I really enjoyed the new place. I had a panini with onion rings and fried green tomatoes for the appetizer- all of which were very good! And the service? Also good. The food came out very quickly and we never were missing anything. If anyone is ever in Mt. Pleasant, I suggest this place.
